  • I typed up this printable for our family night the other night and it was a huge hit so I though I'd share. I looked up our last month's spending and wrote down a price next to each bill. Everyone guessed and it was hilarious to see what the kids said. It was good for them to get a grip on exactly how much is spent each month on things they don't even think about. Then we went through the list to determine and understand needs vs wants. Then I had them go to their room and write down needs and wants in their room. Finally you can end with the fun scavenger hunt.  Split up into two teams and race to find needs and wants. This is an EDITABLE word document download with a PDF, so make it your own with the bills and worksheet items! The second page goes over monthly budgeting and has a challenge to find something to "use up, wear out, or do without" which is my husbands motto! Enjoy!

It includes: *Raindrop Pictures & Word Feeling Recognition *Printable Quote on Recovery Suggestions *M&M Feelings Discussion Game *Cloud of Control Game to recognize things you can and can't control Again, this really helped our family get through something hard and become prepared for another trial down the road. This can be adapted to all ages.  And because I feel that this lesson is so important I want to make sure that it is free for those who need it like we did.  Please leave me a review or message me if this helped your family in any way! If they fill their root beer float then they can invite their friends over for an end of the year root beer float party. If they only get a few steps they get ketchup instead of root beer and if they only get a few more steps they don't get the ice cream.  You'll see when you download it.  It was a really fun game for the kids.  I hope you enjoy it! It has saved us for years!

  • I have been working on this for years!  My purpose was to have an extremely low maintenance way to add Christ into culture.  I wanted my kids to see the fun aspects of Christmas and remember the religious part of it.  So, for 24 days you go through 24 items of Christmas (stockings, Santa, presents, lights, etc.) and talk about what they could represent spiritually.  I've done hours of research in cultures around the world to give you century old tales, history, biblical information and insights into the nativity.  Each day has scriptures written out, beautiful clip art for visuals, a suggested classic children's story, insights and a challenge or question to ponder.  These cards are also inline with the Light of the World campaign and it's scripture. I uploaded two forms.  One is large - a half page card you print.  The other is small - tiny cards with the clip art on the back. Finally, I attached matching December activity list for suggestions to tie into your days. I do charge a small, small fee on this because of the amount of work that went into it! Enjoy!

  • Excellent worksheet to make intentional, well-rounded goals.
  • As a highschooler I cleaned homes and then as a mom I learned how important organization goes with cleaning.  You can be good at cleaning without organization and still be swimming in house chores.  So I made this rotation based calendar years ago as a little reminder to do some of the monthly and annual chores.  It also keeps me on my toes so that I don't forget or miss a seasonal activity or responsibility.  Please feel free to add suggestions for additions on my Instagram account through a message or comment!  Enjoy!

  • Ok, if I do say so myself, this is one of the most creative and fun projects that I've come up with.  The idea is obviously not original but I had so much fun adding some puns and personality to each clue! We did this last year, teamed up with another family so it wasn't too intense on our schedule, and it was a blast!  Door bell ditching each days' surprised turned out to be really fun and hard! You can print off just the tags or you can print off the backs as well and make them even cuter!  Each day put a tag on the cheap (you can goodwill some of these things if you need), and simple items and ring the door bell and run.  The 12th tag mentions giving in the Christmas season like Christ did and we rang the door bell and didn't run the last day!
  • I looked and looked and couldn't find a complete digital download of everything I wanted. So I created one and will give you a few suggestions of other downloads as well. I wanted to make it available to mom's out there for a cheap price. I put hours into this and hope it helps someone else. When I got married someone gave me a red file and told me to keep all my important information in it to be able to grab and go if I ever needed it. It has evolved into the following that i have made into a printable for you: -Important papers download (mindfulhome.net) -Child Safety ID cards (mindfulhome.net) -FHE scavenger hunt to identify safety features and procedures in the house from the Smiths (smithest1989@hotmail.com) -Editable Family Night lesson plan (mindfulhome.net) -Editable 72 hour checklist that I've loved from food storage and beyond (compiled from my old church) -30 days of food storage recipes (compiled from my old church) -guide to creating an emergency file and kit that will last you 3 months in 3 months (given out from my old church) If you are looking for a complete package, this is it.  You can then pick and choose what you want to do and discard what is overwhelming.  My family found it all really helpful and have been working on it for years.

  • With different age groups and chore difficulty we were struggling to find a chore system out there that worked for us. So I developed this chore system based on Salary. We timed each chore the kids did and color-coded the chores so that the kids could quickly find the length of chore they wanted to finish in an hour. We pay per hour now and it has eliminated all arguing and stress. Print off the list of chores (there are blanks at the end), then back them to a color based on the time. I included our master copy of each chore color coded and how long it took us if you don't want to do it yourself. So All the 5 minutes chores I back to green paper, all the 10 minute chores are blue and then I laminated the chores and put it in an envelope for them to grab and go. When they are finished with a chores they have an envelope with their name on it that it goes in. I pay when they have finished an hour of chores in their envelope. You can easily hang up chores through out the week that need done as well and the kids can check for a chore after school everday. I hope you enjoy this download as much as we have!  Please be respectful of the editable download and only use if for your own household.  Thanks!
  • I used this theme to get my house in order! It was an annual theme that I loved so much we did it for two years. The monthly plans are for Family Night or church lessons. Each month has a scripture and adjective to go with part of "House of Order" scripture and theme. The download includes: *Editable Monthly Theme with Goals *Editable Homemaker Daily Schedule *Editable Child Daily Schedule *Editable House of Order Lesson Plan I printed out the house of god sign and framed it for the year. We memorized the scriptures and focused on things our house and family needed. Again, I'm attaching each document as an editable template.  This is new for me... this took me hours to produce so please be respectful and don't copy or reprint this for any other purpose than your own household.  I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
